Open-source licences
Knitticate is built on open-source code. Its authors let anyone use it freely, on condition that their names and licence texts are kept. Those texts are collected here. Thank you to everyone whose work the service stands on. Licence texts are given in their original language, English, which is the legally binding version.
Fabric simulation
The fabric preview in the stitch-pattern editor is Knitticate's own engine. It is built on ported and reworked parts of Hannah Twigg-Smith's research projects.

d3-force and d3-shape
The first version of the simulation reproduced formulas from Mike Bostock's d3-force 3.0.0, d3-shape 3.2.0. The current engine has replaced that code, but we keep the credit and the licence.
